I left my laptop voice message on yesterday because I was busy around the house, also went downstairs for a long while. When I returned there were a lot of voice mails on my line from a woman whose name I did not recognize. She started her telephone conversation with a string of curses then said she had a emergency and that Margie should come right over. The calls were 15 to 20 mins apart and each was more rude and (it appeared so to me) abusive. The funny thing is she was asking for a favor but each time she called she berated my voice mail. Called it a "phony *ss message". She alternated between serious groveling and mean aggresive behavior--each call was filled with curses and more anger towards my voice mail. So odd. Normaly if I get a call that seems important I will call the person back to let them know they have left the message at a wrongly dialed number. This time I did not. I figure if she had stopped to really listen to the message instead of being mean-mouthed, she would have known that she was beating a dead horse
and not leaving messages on Margies machine. No messages today, I guess she and Margie talked.
I do understand that kind of behavior is often a cry for help. But it is sometimes difficult to feel or be sympathetic.
