Happy 1st Sunday of January 2006

champagne glasses -- Click for more Information to popup    Was away again. Just returned. I have so many e-mails, I can't believe it. My "catch all" e-mail had more than 400 SPAM messages. My AOL mail was almost as bad. I can't take a chance and just hit the 'kill' button because some real messages always get caught. One of them was "would you like a review copy?" It was legit request query, but it came through as SPAM. I think the lower case in the subject line may have had something to do with it, but who knows? Anyway I am sure that I will be checking and answering my personal and biz e-mails most of the week.

I watched the Honeymooners marathon on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. :-) I enjoy all of the episodes but one of my favs is the one where Ralph and Alice decide to hire a maid. Of course, Ralph's plan is to act like a big shot. He and Alice are immediately mistaken for a couple of domestics. Ralph is insulted and explains that they are seeking a maid; he goes on to explain that his wife is a career woman and works because she wants to, not because she has to. As always, cuts him down to his arrogant knees by explaining that her career with Krausmeyers Bakery is "stuffing jelly into donuts". Watching this marathon every year is such a treasure. I figure if I start the year with a happy smile I may be lucky enough for my smiles to continue through the year.
