While checking my e-mail this morning for some reason Alexandria, Va popped into my head. So I did a search, instead of finishing my e-mails. Lousy attention span? I do remember enjoying the area when I visited a friend. I liked it so much that I took my mother there one Thanksgiving. I guess I won't go into details :-( but mom did love the City. The Old Town area is beautiful. Lots of restaurants and clubs, many have bands or singers. It is an historic area. They have Alexandria African American Heritage Park there. Did not get a chance to see it, but would love to. It is said to have a one acre 19th century African American cemetery. That sounds so interesting. I wonder if you can rice paper the tomb stones?(Thank you Ms. Bongiovanni, because of you I am not spooked out by cemeteries-smiling) MMMmmm--Isn't Bon Jovi from New Jersey? I wonder?????
I tried to find a graphic under A.A. but mostly found MLK stuff. As much as I respect what MLK, Jr. did, and certainly no disrepect, but there is much more to A.A. history. Oh yes, I did see a graphic of a man doing some kind of pole jumping thing. Deep sigh.
