Call for volunteers

-- Click for more Information to popup     My e-mail is brimming with good news and positive things today.  If interested, please get in touch with Heidi :-) I don;t have to be involved.

January 13, 2006

Dear Friend Advocates and JFS Volunteers,

You are all doing such an amazing job with your clients, that the
Essex County Division on Aging has awarded our agency with another
grant. The Essex County Telephone Reassurance Program was
transferred to JFS on Jan1, 2006.  This is a program where
volunteers make calls to assigned clients 1-5 days per week.  These
clients are all elderly, frail, and homebound with few or no family
        support.

Please let me know if you are interested in also volunteering with
this program, (or if you know anyone who would like to do this kind
of work).  The Coordinator of the Essex County Telephone
Reassurance Program will be Irene Byrne.  Irene and I will be
working together to train and recruit volunteers.  We will also be
        running some meetings together.

My role of coordinating the Friend Advocate Program will not
change.  As the JFS Coordinator of Volunteer Services, I will be
involved with all agency volunteer programs.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
