Last Minute Clean Up

person sweeping -- Click for more Information to popup      I will be away for a week, so am tying loose ends. It does help that I now have a smaller lap top to take with me.  Unfortunately it does not have MicroSoft word processor software, but I have learned my way that. I have finished the February calendar for Work & Family. Will work and a recipe and a couple of movie reviews today and tomorrow.  Oh busy. busy, busy.

I met a friend for drinks last night. It was pleasant but I had too much to drink, I make it a point to drink only a glass or two of wine, never three. Why?? not sure, I think I read that two should be the limit. I think it's a good idea and try to follow it.

It has been an odd and productive month. I have a new client (Yah!) This past Tuesday I attended the Annual Friends of East Orange Library meeting. New officer's were named and I was appointed Vice Chair. It is a two-year run. When this potential was brought to me earlier I said no, but I am not surprised that my answer was ignored. We do have an aggressive team. I will do everything I can, because I do love the EO library--we were given a copy of an article that appeared in the Star Ledger on January 18, titled "East Orange Library offers oasis for teens".  I am there a couple of times a week and it does me proud when I walk in and see the place over-flowing with young people.

More on the subject of volunteering, now that my senior client has been placed in a nursing home, I am stepping back from accepting another senior. It seems that I remain on the Volunteer Services Committee at Jewish Family Service. If anyone wants to volunteer for telephone reassurance, friend advocate (that's what I do), or project connect call 973-467-3300 ext 275 and the coordinator will answer your questions.
