Heat, Humidity Dealing with the 2 H's One Day at a Time

Sun -- Click for more Information to popup  As a person who really detests hot weather I am having a heck of a time handling these climbing temps and high humidity. My living room faces the sun and the New York skyline, which is lovely, except in times like these. My very sheer white curtains seems to invite more heat and sun. I have taken of the with doubling the sheers. However, there is no way to escape the hot moist air so allergy and sinus troubles have finally caught up with me. But I did something I never would have done before retiring.  i simply stayed home. I had a workshop at the museum today from 10a to 4p--I  called to say that I would not attend. I was up at 4a taking Advil for my sore throat, sneezes, headache and who knows what else. An hour later I used eye drops to get the red out, I figured that I would still get to that early morning class at the museum. Then it hit me, just say no and stay home. I suspect working on my laptop all morning is not a good idea either, so I will check my e-mails (have to do that) then take 2 more Advil and rest these very red eyes. Who says you can't teach an old 9 to 5'er new tricks?  ;-)
