You know, I really do love mystery novels. I can even remember my first. It was [The] Black Spaniel Mystery by Betty Cavanna. Of course when I read that novel I did not know what a 'mystery' was. I think I was in grammer school. Last year I found information that Cavanna died in 2001. I had no idea that she had lived that long--she was born in 1909 (in Camden, NJ) I do wish I had known--I would have sent her a note to say thank you for introducing me to mystery books :-).
