Pottery and Other Art Classes

fixing a broken vase -- Click for more Information to popup     Just arrived home from pottery class. Tonight we learned something about coiling. I think I like that better than the potters wheel. I feel as if I can use my imagination more with this method. Nevermind that when I sit at the potters wheel I end up cutting the bottom off the pot or have it sitting lopsided. My instructor says that the pots are not crooked. Well he has a better developed eye than I, but they do look crooked. I am so much enjoying these classes. This past Saturday I had a full day of bead knotting. This is something I would really like to learn. The beading class had twelve learners and everyone stayed until at least 3:30p. We had lunch downstairs in the museum. A lovely day.

We only had 3 people in pottery tonight. I guess the warm weather has something to do with it. But when the class is that small, you get the instructor's undivided attention--whether you want it or not.
