Today is my birthday. I've reached the age where it is nice just to have one candle in the middle of the cake just to note the occassion. (laughing) As always, I have made my one really big" thing to do this year" promise to myself. And as always I never say it out loud to anyone. I can't remember when I started doing this but it seems to work for me. Last year may have been the most life changing yet. Even though I knew that I wanted to and needed to retire from UMD it was hard to write "the letter" and actually deliver it. I know my 2006 goal but have to start concentrating on doing it ;-0
Was out for a short time yesterday, the weather was not as bitter as I expected it to be. I think I it colder a few weeks ago. This morning the snow looks flatter and icier. I soon know how the air feels because this will be a long day for me. It's only 9:30a and I have talked to so many people. I am amazed. I continue to feel so very blessed. I even had two birthday serenades (really, really big grin) this morning.
